H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club has praised the continuous support given by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to heritage and traditional sports.
Opening the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2014) yesterday, Sheikh Hamdan said the UAE had been a world leader in preserving rich heritage and values.
He added that ADIHEX, which started in 2003, was gaining a growing attention both in the UAE and the region. This year's show, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre, is being attended by 640 companies from 48 countries.
Sheikh Hamdan underlined the extensive participation in the show by over 140 Emirati companies and government organisations concerned with environment and heritage.
Present during the opening ceremony were H.H. Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Director of Asia Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, senior officials, diplomats and media representatives.
Sheikh Hamdan toured the exhibition and stopped at different stands of local, Arab and foreign companies.
ADIHEX 2014 is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers' Club, supported by The Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee in Abu Dhabi, and organised by the Emirates Falconers' Club and Informa Exhibitions Company and is being held from September 10th through September 13.
