Southern Governor, HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, has asserted that the kingdom’s great interest in the education sector reflects the leadership’s keenness on making the citizens the cornerstones of sustainable development in the country.
The governor lauded, in this regard, the directives given by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, while visiting the Southern Governorate to ensure that the citizens should see tangible progress in various fields, including education.
The governor made the statements while visiting, in the presence of Education Minister, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, the Al-Fatah Secondary Boys’ School.
The governor was informed about the Education Ministry’s preparations for the new academic year, 2017-2018, as well as about the educational services to be provided for the Southern Governorate’s students.
He was also briefed about the educational projects currently implemented by the Education Ministry across the Southern Governorate.
He lauded the Al-Fateh Secondary Boys’ School’s facilities and academic programmes that meet the requirements of modern education.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali stressed the importance of implementing educational projects for various educational stages that meet the growing needs of the governorate.
The population growth and the urban boom currently witnessed by the Southern Governorate require serious efforts to provide its needs in various fields, in line with the directives of the leadership, he said.
The education minister lauded the governor’s keenness on following up on the educational needs, stressing that the Education Ministry will spare no effort in order to meet the needs of the citizens and residents regarding educational facilities that ensure that their children enjoy their right to education.
