His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said that the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has made great strides in building a solid base for military and defence industries with national hands.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed congratulated the Tawazun Economic Council through his Twitter account on Saturday, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary celebrations.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed said, "The Tawazun Economic Council has led the march of the defence industries in the country, where it has been developed by the latest advanced technology to become a vital factor in the national economy."

He added that the methodology of training of human resources, building self-capacity and product development in the Council, as well as other national institutions, were key factors to strengthen global competitiveness.

The Tawazun Economic Council recently organised silver jubilee celebrations in the UAE.
