A US Congress delegation under South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham paid a visit to the ancient Pyramids plateau.
The US delegation and their spouses visited the panorama area and the Sphinx and listened to a detailed explanation about the most important historical sites, director general of Giza plateau Hussein Abdel Basir told MENA on Saturday.
He, meanwhile, said that a number of representatives from the US Agency for International Development (USAID) accompanied the US delegation to follow up the groundwater project of Sphinx monument.
The project is implemented by the USAID in cooperation with the Antiquities Minister, he added
