The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, a number of world leaders, dignitaries and senior officials Sunday attended the final race of 2017 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi.
The Formula One World Championship was also watched by Presidents Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Filip Vujanovic of Montenegro, Ramzan Kadyrov of Chechnya, Rustam Minnikhanov of Tatarstan, and Ali Bongo of Gabon, as well as Prince Andrew, Duke of York, Juan Carlos, former King of Spain, and ministers from Morocco, Russia, Belarus and Azerbaijan. In attendance also were a group of Sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was present at the starting point until the race flag off, following the rendition of the UAE National Anthem. He was accompanied during the race launching procedure by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority and Chase Carey, Executive Chairman and CEO of the Formula One Group.
