French President Francois Hollande will visit Egypt in April as part of a regional trip that includes Lebanon and Jordan.
Hollande would start the visit to the region on April 16, the Élysée said in a statement.
His visit to Egypt comes upon invitation from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to discuss deepening strategic relations.
During his tour, Hollande would renew Paris’ support for Lebanon and conclude discussions on development, stability and counter terrorism with King Abdullah II of Jordan, the statement added.
