Food inspection and control departments in the various Directorates General of Muscat Municipality in the wilayats of Quriyat, Al Amerat, Muttrah, Bausher and Seeb have intensified their inspection campaigns on the restaurants, coffee shops, souqs and food stores, to ensure food is preserved under appropriate conditions and fit for human consumption.
The food inspectors control and monitor food processing at the restaurants, coffee shops and commercial stores to ensure they observe the health terms and conditions for food processing along with the means of transport of food items, ways of food preservation and personal hygiene.
