ADFCA confirms Lipton tea
Abu Dhabi - WAM

The Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has confirmed the safety of Lipton tea products in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi markets, following the circulation of rumours through YouTube, alleging the existence of hallucination pills in the company's products.
Mohammed Jalal Al Raisi, Director of Communication and Community Service at the ADFCA, said that the inspectors conducted a comprehensive survey on the tea sales in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region retail outlets, pointing out that the physical examination showed lack of any impurities or hallucination pills in different tested teabags.
Al Raisi said that all the samples that have been tested in the outlets are produced by the U.A.E. With regard to the imported shipments, he noted that the last shipment came from Lebanon, and was tested safe before being displayed in the markets of the emirate.
