An exhibition to raise awareness of the harmful effect of drugs and anti-narcotics has been opened at Seef Mall today under the patronage of Head of Ma'an (Together) Committee, Head of the committee in charge of preparing for the World Anti-Narcotics Day celebrations and member of the National Anti-narcotics Committee Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa.
Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and senior officers from the Interior Ministry attended the three-day event which aims to shed light on the effect of alcoholic drinks, drugs and anti-narcotics on those taking to them.
The exhibition, the first of its kind in Bahrain and the Middle East, is part of the Interior Ministry's efforts to combat drug addiction and sensitize people to its harmful effects by using advanced scientific methods and practical examples.
