Bahraini PM Prince Khalifa bin Salman
Manama - BNA

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the International Collaborative Conference in Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ICMID Bahrain 2015) will kick-off on Tuesday, February 24
HRH Premier's patronage of the key conference is in line with his constant interest in the health sector, and keenness on improving the quality of services provided for the citizens.
It also reflects the government's policies, outlined in its action plan, endorsed recently by the Representatives Council, to take optimum advantage of the existing resources to provide integrated health services for all those living in Bahrain.
ICMID aims to consolidate the kingdom's contributions to efforts to face health challenges across the world, especially regarding deadly epidemics such as Ebola, AIDS, coronaviruses, among others.
The event will provide a platform to shed light on infectious diseases at the global level, and exchange expertise information on them.
It will also be an opportunity for Bahraini doctors to exchange information and experiences on ways to deal with those diseases.
The event, expected to attract about 400 doctors, medical professionals from Bahrain, Arab and European countries, is organised by the Bahrain Medical Society, the Saudi Society for Medical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (SSMMID), the British Society for Antimicrobial & Chemotherapy (BSAC) and managed by Takatof Events & Conferences Management
