Swine flu
Gaza City - MENA

Three pregnant women were admitted in recent days to Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba, southern Israel and were diagnosed with the H1N1 strain of the flu known as swine flu.

The condition of two of the women has improved and they are being kept in isolation. The third woman is in serious condition and is in the intensive care unit. Due to her serious condition, the hospital delivered the 25-year-old's baby by Caesarean section on Wednesday and her baby, whose condition was stable, was transferred to Soroka's premature baby unit, JPost reported on Thursday.

A fourth 57-year-old woman was diagnosed at Soroka with swine flu and was in serious condition and was on a respirator at the hospital.

The hospital noted that none of the women received the flu shot vaccination.
