The University College of London (UCL) honored late Friday Kuwaiti surgeon Dr. Ahmad Al-Ali for his involvement in the university's Burns, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery masters program. In a ceremony honoring the program's participants last night, UCL Vice-Provost for health Professor David Lomas delivered a speech commending the Kuwaiti surgeon for his vital and positive inputs during the course of the program.
On his part, Dr. Al-Ali told KUNA that he was the first Kuwaiti to get involved in the masters program under the supervision of UCL's Professor Peter Butler, adding that the program is considered amongst the best in the world.
Regarding his research, Dr. Al-Ali said that it focused on 3D printing and its medical application especially within the field of Plastic surgery. The UCL was established in 1826 as the University of London. The university was the first institute of its kind in London and the whole of England
