Bandar Seri BegAwan - XINHUA

Brunei's Ministry of Health denied on Thursday a news report on a website regarding the alleged occurrence of Ebola virus cases in the country, saying that information is absolutely not true and is unfounded.
Following the reports on the website Viral. Ninja (safeurlpath. com) on the alleged Ebola virus cases in the country, the Ministry of Health has confirmed that there are no Ebola virus cases reported or detected in the country. Therefore, the public should not panic or worry and should not ever believe such false and unfounded statements.
As a precautionary and preventive measure, the Ministry of Health advises the public to avoid visiting countries affected by the Ebola epidemic. The public is also urged not to believe the false and unfounded information spread through the internet.
According to the latest risk analysis and information from the World Health Organization (WHO), the West Pacific region including Brunei is at a very low risk for the possibility of an Ebola virus outbreak.
The Ministry of Health has already conducted measures to continue to monitor the Ebola outbreak situation as well as carry out precautionary, preparedness and preventive measures, including medical checks in the International airport for those passengers arriving from Ebola affected areas.
