The International Collaborative Conference in Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ICMID Bahrain 2015) will open on Tuesday ( February 24) in Manama. The three-day symposium will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.
Health Minister Sadiq bin Abdelkarim Al-Shehabi extended deep thanks to HRH the Premier for patronizing the conference, which aims to consolidate the kingdom's contributions to efforts to face health challenges across the world, especially regarding deadly epidemics such as Ebola, AIDS, and coronaviruses.
In a statement today, he paid tribute to HRH the Premier for his keenness on promoting the health sector and patronsing high-profile medical conferences to ensure Bahrain’s standing on the map of international events.
The event, expected to attract about 400 doctors, medical professionals from Bahrain, Arab and European countries, is organised by the Bahrain Medical Society, the Saudi Society for Medical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (SSMMID), the British Society for Antimicrobial & Chemotherapy (BSAC) and managed by Takatof Events & Conferences Management.
