Doha will host a GCC conference about the impact of technology on nursing care next Sunday at the Doha Sheraton Hotel.
The two-day conference, themed "The Evolution of Technology and its Impact on Humane Nursing Care", will bring together internationally renowned speakers who will provide advances in best practices and address the everyday challenges of using nursing technology to improve patient outcomes.
Nurse leaders from GCC member states will also take part in the conference to share the latest advancements in nursing technology.
Commenting on the event, Dr. Nabila Al Meer, the Deputy Chief Continuing Care Group and Ministry of Public Health Nursing Affairs and Chairperson of the Conference Organizing Committee, said that the 2nd GCC Nursing Conference will also include Qatar's 12th seminar about nursing care.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Dr. Al Meer stressed the importance of the conference to the GCC countries in light of their use of technology in the nursing field, where participants will discuss the impact of these new technologies on nursing care, along with reviewing the latest new experiences and expertise in this field.
She noted that international speakers at the conference will provide a picture on how technology is transforming the way nursing care is conceptualized and delivered. There will be a wide range of topics that feature advances in nursing technology and innovation, and explore their effects on humane nursing care.
She added that the conference will also provide excellent opportunities for all nurses, at all levels of practice and education, to participate in informative and stimulating educational sessions and workshops.
Dr. Al Meer added that the conference will bring together more than 350 participants from the State of Qatar, from both the public and private sectors, and participants from the GCC countries, along with renowned speakers from various countries.
