FAO invited for ministerial African meeting in Cairo

Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy on Friday invited Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) assistant director-general and the regional representative for the Near East and North Africa, Abdul Salam Ould Ahmed, to attend a ministerial African meeting in Cairo on March 2-6.
Emerging from the meeting, Fahmy said his talks with Ahmed tackled ways of boosting cooperation.
The get-together discussed aspects of cooperation in a number of issues, including ways of addressing the phenomena of desertification, climate change, and dangerous and poisonous waste.
