A new Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) coronavirus victim was confirmed dead, in addition to two cases detected within the last 24 hours, all Saudi nationals, health ministry said Tuesday.
The death case belonged to a citizen who resided in Hafouf, in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom, while the patients were a man in the same area and another in Taif city, the ministry said in a statement, adding that both cases are in the ICU.
This bring the total number of fatalities to 323, however 427 others recovered and nine are being treated, it added.
Last Sunday, the health ministry announced that there have been no confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, nor any suspicion of the Ebola virus among pilgrims during this Hajj season.
