Health services in all hospitals and medical facilities were put on alert in Fayyoum Governorate, southwestern Cairo, in anticipation of any potential riots that could ensue during the anniversary of the January 25 Revolution, the governorate's health undersecretary said Saturday.
Mohamed Shoukry said vacations were cancelled for all doctors and medics and all medicines and medical supplies are available in hospitals.
More beds were provided at emergency departments in hospitals, Shoukry added.
