Health Minister Adel Adawi met on Thursday with the head of the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit No. 3 (NAMRU-3)
The meeting touched on the ongoing efforts to combat the bird flu virus and the measures adopted by the ministry to curb the spread of this disease.
The minister asserted that the NAMRU-3 provided the technical support for the ministry.
NAMRU-3 is the oldest US overseas military biomedical research facility, located in Cairo, and one of the largest medical research laboratories in the North Africa-Middle East region.
