Hospital in Lebanon
Tripoli - KUNA

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) inaugurated here on Saturday a host of Kuwaiti-funded medical departments, worth USD one million, in the government-run Orang-Naso Hospital in Tripoli, north of Lebanon. This is part of a grant of USD 300 million that Kuwait provided to Lebanon in 2006.
KFAED's contribution to providing the hospital with medical equipment comes in the framework of supporting health sector in northern Lebanon and shows keenness to provide basic medical services to the region's inhabitants, KFAED's representative in Lebanon Nawaf Al-Dabbous said in a statement to KUNA.
He added that projects implemented by KFAED in Lebanon contributed greatly to improving and supporting services and infrastructure in different areas across the country, stressing Kuwait was highly appreciated for such schemes.
For his part, Dr. Ahmad Al-Maghraby, hospital's chairman of the board, commended Kuwait's constant support of Lebanon in different domains and KFAED's efforts as well.
He said that Kuwait's donation covered many departments of the hospital, including kidney dialysis and medical Labs.
KFAED has recently financed two developmental projects, worth USD 550,000 in Tripoli and contributed to building and furnishing more than 13 health centers across the country.
