The Ministry of Health and the International Nursing Association of Islamic Medicine Center marked Tuesday the International Nurses Day. "The world's annual celebration of the International Nurses Day reflects the great role of nursing in saving human life," Health Ministry Undersecretary Khaled Al-Sahlawi said in his speech at the celebration. He pointed out that the Ministry did not stop development of the nursing section as well as in building and upgrading the capacities of nurses. "Kuwait greatly appreciates the vital role of nurses in its medical system," he said. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Nursing Association Bandar Al-Enzi said that the celebration coincides with the international celebration which held this year and the rubric of "Nurses: A Force for Change - A vital resource for health". He added that nurses have become a real force for change in the international medical system. The International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, to mark the contributions nurses make to society. The International Council of Nurses commemorates this important day each year with the production and distribution of the International Nurses' Day (IND) Kit. The IND Kit 2014 contains educational and public information materials, for use by nurses everywhere
