Kuwait is to suggest the establishment of a center for the protection of patients' rights in the Arab world during the 41st session of the Arab Health Ministers' council due to be held in Cairo on March 11-13, Health Minister Dr. Ali Al-Obaidi announced Monday.The two-day meeting will discuss some essential topics such as health situation for the Syrian refugees and the displaced, strategy to fight the HIV/AIDS disease, mothers' health and wellbeing and polio affecting Syrian children, Al-Obaidi told the press.He added that the council will also tackle pharmaceutical integration among Arab countries, the establishment of a center for the protection of patients' rights, the management of hazardous pharmaceutical waste and countering chronic non-communicable diseases.Following-up on agreements made during the "ASPA" summit, held in Peru 2012, as well as the "Lime Declaration" that focused on holding joint cooperation between the Arab Health Ministers Council and South American countries will be sheld light on in the meeting.A report on Arabizing health sciences will be reviewed and recommendations on blood transfusion regulations will be covered.The meeting will also discuss preparations for the Arab Economic and Social Development due to be held in Tunisia in 2015.
