Kuwait - Kuna

A Kuwaiti plane is currently heading to Libya to transport Libyans injured in the country's recent uprising to Kuwaiti hospitals for necessary treatment. The move comes at the behest of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Libya and head of the Kuwaiti delegation flying to Libya, Mubarak Al-Adwani told KUNA on Friday. A total of 25 wounded Libyans will recieve medical care in Kuwait, he said. Onboard the aircraft are a Kuwaiti medical emergency team and a representative of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), he added. The step is part is part of humanitarian initiatives instructed by HH the Amir to help the Libyan people, he also noted. Kuwait's good gesture springs from its belief in necessary contributions to the alleviations of the woes and pains of the Libyan people, he said.
