The Ministry of Health formed a committee Tuesday to investigate the dumping of medical supplies next to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital, and concluded that these supplies did not belong to the ministry.
The formation of the committee - consisting of representatives of the medicines inspection sector, legal department and Al-Sabah Medical Area - followed the broadcast of a video clip in the social media network showing medical supplies dumped in an empty yard next to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital, the ministry said in a statement.
It said the medical supplies "which seem in good condition consist of diapers for elderly, sheets for children and a number of salt solutions packed in boxes." The ministry added that the committee concluded that these medical supplies did not belong to the ministry of health and were not in its stores.
It emphasized extreme keenness to preserve public funds and would punish anyone wasting them.
