A woman in southern England who died a week after giving birth to triplets was "on top of the world" in her last days, her husband said Wednesday. Isabel Mason, 34, of Winchester, died at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital March 10, the Hampshire Chronicle reported. The triplets were born there March 2. Paul Mason said he and his German-born wife had been looking forward to introducing their children to the things they enjoy, like country walks, camping and "watching the world go by." "Isabel had delivered healthy triplets -- Mattias, Lukas and Sarah -- and in the precious week in between had been on top of the world," Mason said. "We were both overjoyed to be having an instant family, the triplets were our first and most probably our last children." Isabel Mason was still in the hospital when she collapsed and died as staffers fought to save her.
