Several myths revolve around babycare and its many nuances and here's a list of those myths around the usage of cloth diapers that you might have to watch out for. Myth - Cloth diaper are more time consuming Fact - This could be true back in our mother's time when you have complicated folding maneuvers to master before diapering your baby. Today's cloth diapers are as easy as disposables. It's a true snap and go system. The only real difference in a cloth diaper change is that you throw the soiled diaper in the washing machine verses the rubbish bin. Myth - Cloth diapers are a lot of work Fact - Not really. Just throw the soiled diapers in a pail with a lid and wash every other day. Exclusive cloth diapering only takes 3 extra wash loads a week. Myth - Cloth diapers don't keep your baby dry and have to be changed more frequently Fact - Today modern cloth diapers have been developed to keep the baby dry with a soft suede fabric lining on the diapers or inserts that wicks the moisture away from baby's bottom and are just as absorbent as disposables but without the harsh chemicals. Myth - Cloth diapers are expensive Fact - Once a parent decides to cloth diaper it can be an initial investment up to Rs. 15,000 but it is still just 1/4 of the cost they would spend on disposable diapers. Myth - Cloth diapers are inconvenient Fact - Today's cloth diapers offer parents choices and are just as convenient as disposables to put on and use. Myth - Cloth diapers are unhygienic Fact - When cloth diapers are washed and rinsed properly in hot water they are the most hygienic system available for diapering.
