First Ebola case
New York - KUNA

A Patient at the Bellevue Hospital with a potential Ebola virus was diagnosed positive, becoming the city's first case, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Thursday evening.
In a joint press conference held here, De Blasio confirmed that the recently returned Physician Craig Spencer from treating Ebola patients in Guinea carries the virus.
Mayor de Blasio asked New Yorkers no to be alarmed.
On her part, City Health Commissioner Dr. Mary Basset said Spencer, 33 and working with Doctors Without Borders, was well without symptoms throughout his journey from Guinea to the US.
Spencer was rushed into hospital earlier on Thursday with a fever and gastrointestinal symptoms and placed in isolation.
More tests to be conducted by federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in order to confirm the initial test.
Health Department team started to trace all of patient's contacts to identify anyone who may be at potential risk.
