Latest statistics released by the Omani Ministry of Health showed that eight cases of flu (H1N1) were reported in the first half of July, but no new deaths from the disease during this period.
The Ministry of Health said that no new cases of the Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus were reported in the Sultanate since December, Oman's official news agency ONA reported.
The ministry stressed the need that health-fit pilgrims going to Hajj or Umrah should get the required vaccinations provided by the ministry at all health centers. They are requested to visit the nearest health institution if they suffer any symptoms of respiratory infections within two weeks of their return.
