U.S. President Barack Obama is "in excellent health" and "fit for duty," his doctor said in the results of the president's physical exam released Monday. The examination was performed at the White House last week by Dr. Jeffrey C. Kuhlman, a Navy captain and the physician to the president, the White House said in a statement releasing the results. "All clinical data indicate he will remain so for the duration of his presidency," Kuhlman wrote in the results. The most significant improvement in the latest results was that Obama was declared tobacco-free, while in the previous one, conducted in February 2010, the doctor suggested he continue his efforts to quit smoking. Obama is physically active, eats a healthy diet, stays at a healthy weight, and on occasion drinks alcohol in moderation, Kuhlman wrote in the latest report. He recommended the president's next physical check up take place in December 2012.
