The Board examined the 2011 accounts and reports to be submitted to the annual general meeting of the Association. It also approved the draft budget 2012. The balance sheet of 2011 was marked by the importance of the projects implemented and those under way, such as the implementation of National Plan for the Prevention of Cancer in cooperation with the Health Ministry, the projects carried out under agreements with the Great Casablanca region, the project of rehabilitation of the National Institute of Oncology in Rabat, in partnership with the University Hospital of Rabat, the ongoing construction of centres of excellence of Gynaecological and Mammary Oncology in Rabat and Casablanca, oncology centres of Meknes and Tangier, and the programme of access to medicines for low-income people, which benefited over 90% of poor patients with cancer. The Board welcomed the significant expansion of the Association's activities, which have doubled compared to 2010. In addition, the year 2011 was marked by the leading role played by HRH Princess Lalla Salma at the international level, especially the Association's support to fight cancer in Africa. The Board also praised HRH Princess Lalla Salma's commitment and the Association's management quality.
