HE Minister of Public and the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani left Doha today for Switzerland, heading Qatar's to the meetings of the 65th session of the World Health Organization(WHO) Assembly that begins in Geneva tomorrow, Monday. The Assembly, the highest decision-making body of WHO is to discuss the topics on the agenda in addition to issues related to budget management and administrative management. The agenda includes discussion of the report of the Executive Council and election of its members. The Qatari delegation will also take part in a number of international and regional conferences to be held on the sidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) Assembly including the 73thGCC Health Ministers Council of Ministers, and the 38th Arab Health Ministers Council regular as well as the meeting of the Executive Office of the Arab Health Ministers Council and the 131th WHO Executive Board meeting. The 73th GCC Health Ministers meeting scheduled for Wednesday will feature among other topics the fight against non-communicable diseases, health quality care, patient safety as well as means to make the Arabian Peninsula free of malaria.
