The father of a girl who could not be treated for her ailment in the Kingdom has appealed to authorities for help so that she can be treated abroad.
Nawaf Al-Mutairi said that his daughter Samu is infected with a rare virus that doctors in different hospitals in the Kingdom could not identify, local media reported.
He said that his daughter was admitted at the Al-Dawadmi Hospital seven months ago. It turned out that the young girl had an enlarged liver, and elevated liver enzymes, leukocytes, hemoglobin and an unstable temperature.
“The small girl was transferred to the King Saud Medical City in Riyadh and stayed there for two weeks until the fever subsided,” Al-Mutairi was quoted by Sabq as saying.
