Siemens will sell its hearing aid unit to the Swedish investment firm EQT, sources informed about the matter said after a meeting of the German company's board Wednesday night, dpa reported.
Siemens did not comment on the matter, but its chief, Joe Kaeser, is expected to lay its cards on the table Thursday when he gives a press conference coinciding with the release of the engineering company’s annual earnings.
He is also expected to discuss further restructuring.
