The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Spain Ebola-free, 42 days, or two incubation periods, after a Spanish female nurse was cured from the virus.
Spain is Ebola-free following medical tests that confirmed on October 21 that the Spanish nurse was completely cured, the health ministry quoted a WHO statement as saying Tuesday.
Teresa Romero tested positive for Ebola on October 6 following her participation in the treatment of a Spanish priest, who was brought to Madrid from Sierre Leone on September 22, and died few days later, it added.
Spanish health authorities quanrantined 15 people who got in contact or were working near Romero.
