Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi
Cairo - Arabstoday

Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi   A number of active members on the internet social network Facebook have expressed their disappointment with the resignation of Egypt’s Foreign Minister Nabeel Al Arabi and his appointment as the new Security General of the Arab League. The members have called on nominating Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi to replace him in the ministry stating that the political condition of Egypt’s foreign policy is becoming degrading.
A number of people have actually created a page on Face book and titled it “Campaign to nominate Haifa Wahbi as Egypt’s new Foreign Minister”. The members also wrote on the page that the Egyptian government saw Al Arabi’s attempts to place Egypt’s foreign policy back on its feet not enough and so decided to replace him, and they as Egyptian citizens nominate Haifa to replace him.
The creators of the page that they are not attempting to demean Haifa, but rather they are merely expressing their disappointment towards the ironic condition of Egypt’s current foreign policy.
The page has since it was established witnessed numerous hits with many mockingly stating that having Haifa as Foreign Minister would really benefit Egypt and place it one of the most successful countries.
