Merihan Hessein happy for “The Godfather”

Egyptian actress Merihan Hassan expressed her pleasure for the positive reactions to the role she performed during the TV drama show “The Godfather” presented recently in DMC satellite channel, saying, “It was a good and different work. I am happy for the role I performed during this series, as it is fully different from the roles I performed before. Many people praised it.”

She added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, “The series has a large number of superstars, including Mahmoud Hemeida, Sawsan Badr and Aida Reyad.” She added that she was supposed to participate in two new drama works during the coming Ramadan, including “Phobia” with Egyptian superstar Khaled Al Sawy, and “Return” with actor Mohamed Ragab, while “Return” TV drama show will be delayed.

She revealed that she will participate in only “Phobia” TV drama show, praising the scenario written by author Tarik Barakat. She added that the scenario will perform a major role to attract the audience. She refused to give any details about her role in the TV drama show, saying that it will be a surprise for the fans.

She added that she has no difference with Egyptian actress Dalia Al Behairy, saying that the actress turned to criticize her role in “The Godfather” raising her astonishment. She refused to comment on the issue.

She added that she gave a lot of her time to drama at the expense of singing, saying, “I cannot forget singing that I strongly love.” She expressed her aspiration to participate with Egyptian superstar Adel Imam, saying that it is the dream of any actor to stand before the major superstar. She added that she loves painting and to hear music.

She added that she is keen to keep her fitness and beauty, saying that she works to eat healthy food. Regarding her future partner, she said that she hopes to find the suitable partner who appreciates her and realizes her value, stressing that the future husband should work to push her forward in her career.
