Jordanian women has become an integral part of all areas of work. One of the fields that she enters is the world of the field ambulance, where team of paramedics established by the Jordanian Civil Defense.
Almost 226 Jordanian girl work as paramedics within a team was set up recently to work side-by-side with male paramedics, and to provide services to civilians through ambulances that meet the needs of any patient or anyone who needs help.
The girls' paramedics confirm for Arabs Today that they are proving their competence and their ability for each procedures in this profession like the aid men, explaining that some cases require the presence of the female element like childbirth.
The girls' paramedics studied at Faculty of Civil Defense in coordination between the General Directorate of Civil Defence and Balqa Applied University, for teaching specialization diploma in the ambulance field for the year 2006/2007 program, where 111 students were accepted 111 students and two girls, which is the first time that Jordanian girl engaged to work in the profession of the ambulance.
The number of girls in the year 2007/2008 rose to reach 55 girls and 79 students, and this certificate entitling them to work in the field and emergency departments in hospitals efficiently and effectively.
