Three Lebanese people, all members of the same family, were wounded on Wednesday in a shooting in the Al-Gadeda area, north-east Beirut. Security sources told Arabstoday that an unknown gunman from the prominent Bitar family shot at Ellie, Bernard and Tony Naaman, including two brothers who were inside their motorcycle shop. They were taken immediately to one of the region's hospitals. A medical report issued by the St Joseph hospital nearby said Ellie Naaman's condition was critical. The incident was cited hours after reports from Baghdad said three Lebanese citizens of the Muslim Shiite community were killed in a bomb on a bus while returning from a pilgrimage to Iraq.
