Four Egyptian security personnel, including an officer, were injured during clashes with protesters who surrounded the Syrian embassy in Cairo Tuesday, local media reported, quoting a security official. Protesters rallied in front of the embassy, carrying slogans against the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and calling for expelling the Syrian ambassador to Cairo. Up to four Egyptian security personnel were injured during clashes with protesters, said Sayed Shafiq, a security official in Cairo, adding that no protester was injured. Egypt's official news agency MENA said eight people were arrested, adding that security forces were ordered to restore calm and avoid more clashes.
