Iraqi security sources announced at least 10 killed and not less than 43 injured, Thursday, in a waves of explosions, including three blasts in Sadr city (Easrt Iraq), known for its Shiite majority. “At least 9 were killed and 35 others were injured in three blasts in Sadr,” said Internal Ministry source. “A motorbike bomb detonated near a group of laborers at around 7 am (local time) leading to the death of 7 and the injury of 20,” the source stated earlier. “Shorty after that, two bombs exploded near Sadr General Hospital, killing 2 people and injuring about 15,” he added. A source in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense confirmed the death of 9 and the injury of at least 35 due to the explosions. In addition, an Internal Ministry source added that “two were killed and 8 were injured in the blast caused by two bombs in Kazma region of Shia majority North Baghdad. These attacks are the deadliest since last December, when 22 were killed and 60 were injured in a series of blasts in Baghdad.
