Seven Tunisians have been arrested by the Libyan authorities for smuggling fuel into Libya on Wednesday night. The group was arrested in Alhakv near Bnqirdan. Many smuggling operations take place on the Tunisian-Libyan border, where the groups try to smuggle banned goods in the two countries. A security source told Arabsoday that the Libyan police also accuse accused them of illegally crossing the border. The sourced added that efforts are made between the two countries in an attempt to release them. It is not the first time that the Libyan authorities arrest Tunisians. Similar arrests occurred a month ago. Officials of the two countries managed to prioritise the interests of both sides and the detainees were released before Eid al-Fitr.
