Palestinian Authority president, Mahmoud Abbas, commended the political and constitutional reforms recently undertaken by Morocco. Abbas said that the King of Morrocco, Mohammed VI, was "the most intelligent Arab leader in dealing with the popular movement," which prevailed in Morocco as in other Arab countries. Abbas also said: "His Majesty King Mohammed VI chose to deal with the popular movement in Morocco by presenting an advanced constitution and achieving major political reforms". Abbas added said that he was sure the Moroccan experience" will be successful." On Friday night, during a dinner with the delegation of the Federation of Arab Journalists (FAJ) headed by the editor-in-chief of Morocco's Al Alam newspaper, Abdallah Al Bakkali, the Palestinian president thanked the Moroccan King for the valuable services offered to Jerusalem and for his honourable support to the Palestinian cause. Meanwhile, Al Alam on Monday quoted Abbas as saying: "The King of Morocco is the best among Arab leaders to deal with the popular movement which arose from the revolution”. Finally, the Palestinian president said he hopes that other leaders will follow Morocco's example.
