The UAE will put up a national pavilion for the eighth year in a row at the Hannover Messe trade fair, the latest edition which will kick off on Monday, April 25, 2016 in Hannover, Germany and run for five days. The UAE pavilion will spread over 900 square meters and include stands of 10 government and semi-government entities and 30 factories from across the country.
Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, and Ali Majid Al Man Mansouri, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Economic Development Department (ADEDD), will take part in the fair’s inauguration. They will lead a delegation of senior officials from entities under the UAE’s pavilion, headed by ADEDD in cooperation with the MoE.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel will inaugurate Hannover Messe 2016 in the presence of US President Barak Obama. The USA is the strategic partner of the current edition and will set up a pavilion adjacent to the UAE’s pavilion.

Small and medium-sized enterprises and 30 factories – 19 from Abu Dhabi and 11 from the rest of the country – will be represented as well.
ADEDD will organize a UAE Investment Forum during the fair in collaboration with the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event will take place on the second day of Hannover Messe 2016 and will gather 100 businessmen and foreign investors who will review the latest investment opportunities and industrial projects available in the UAE. It will provide an ideal platform to promote the UAE as a leading investment hub and attract more direct foreign investments to the domestic industrial sector.
Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri and Ali Majid Al Mansouri will meet top foreign media representatives covering Hannover Messe 2016 to answer inquiries on the future of the industrial sector in the UAE and in Abu Dhabi in particular. They will also visit the USA’s pavilion as well as those of other countries that the UAE enjoys strong economic relations with to observe and assess the latest industrial technologies on display.
