A delegation including leaders from the African Union have reached the Mauritanian Capital Nouakchott in order to discuss the crisis in Mali trying to find a compromise solution between African leaders where the delegation met Mauritanian Foreign Minister Hamadi Ould Hamadi who held a consultancy meeting with leaders stressing their determination to find a solution. The delegation will ALSO observe conditions of those displaced in Mauritania in "Pascno" east of the country. The Minister of the Interior and Decentralisation Mohammed Oulad Abilal received the African Union Mission on Refugees delegation on Monday. The delegations is headed by Ambassador Guinean, the Permanent Representative in Addis Ababa and Sheikh Tejan Kamera where the meeting discussed relations between Mauritania and the body including ways of developing and strengthening it. The African delegation visiting Mauritania and Foreign Minister Oulad Hamady has met both Amoco Haladm, Ambassador of the Republic of Togo, Ethiopia, and Sheikh Ahmed Tejan Kamara Ambassador of Guinea in Ethiopia, Olabezi Adlai Dar Head of the Department and humanitarian refugees and displaced at the AU. Where the African Organization earlier put in place a plan including ensuring security of the transitional regime and training Malian troops before any intervention in the north which is controlled by armed groups but Bamako refused regional power to ensure the security of its institutions as West Africa is getting ready to spread nearly (3300) troops in Mali. This includes Mauritanian troops as the group is awaiting a formal request from the transitional authorities in Bamako and a delegation from the UN Security Council. It's expected that the African delegation will head to northern Mali in order to discuss the conditions of Malians escaping from the evolving war in the north, but well informed sources confirmed the Mauritanian Foreign Minister will not be in the delegation due to his participation in the meetings of the foreign ministers of Non-Aligned countries in Tehran, which will be held on August 28 and 29 within the ongoing preparations for a coming summit of non-aligned countries scheduled for August 30 and 31.
