Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Friday met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement summit, which concludes today in Tehran. Ahmadinejad called on Palestinians to unite in order to liberate their land, noting that his country is ready to receive the Palestinian factions to hold talks and pave the way for their unity, Iranian Alalam TV reported. Abbas said he is ready to talk with Hamas in order to reach unity, stressing that Israel exploits Palestinian divisions. The Palestinian president held a meeting today earlier with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the sidelines of the summit, where they reviewed the latest regional developments.
