The UN Committee investigating the human rights abuses during the Libyan revolution did not try to find out who killed Muammar Gaddafi, his daughter Aisha said. Aisha Gaddafi’s lawyer has sent a letter to the head of the UN Committee wondering if the investigators are abiding by their responsibility to investigate the crimes committed by both parties during the conflict. The letter stated that Aisha expected the Commission to fully investigate the deaths of her father and her brother Mutassim, also killed after his arrest. The letter reads: "The entire world has witnessed those crimes. They were condemned by whoever defends the rule of law. Therefore, it is not understandable that the Committee refuses to investigate them." Aisha also requested the court to provide her with information about her brother Saif Al-Islam; however, the court rejected the request.Aisha Gaddafi, her mother Safiya, her two brothers Hannibal and Mohammed and other members of the family fled from Libya during the fall of the capital Tripoli. Since then, they have been living in Algeria.
