H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has been briefed on the future plans, programmes and strategy of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, in the UAE in general and the Emirate of Ajman in particular.
This came when H.H. Sheikh Humaid today received Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, in the presence of Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department.
Sheikh Humaid listened to an explanation from Dr. Al-Zeyoudi about the ministry's policy and strategy, and the projects to be implemented by the ministry in the near future concerning the development of the sustainability of fisheries.
Sheikh Humaid stressed that the UAE's wise leadership pays great attention in this regard, saying that President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan harnesses all physical and moral potential to ensure a decent life for citizens and raise the level of services provided to them.
Dr. Al-Zeyoudi also briefed the Ajman Ruler on the ministry's plans for supporting fishermen and providing them with their required needs. Sheikh Humaid was also briefed on the marine reserves projects in all the emirates.
Sheikh Humaid was acquainted with the project of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Marine Research Centre, which produces fingerlings to be distributed to various marine areas in the state in order to increase fisheries production.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials.
