Algerian Ministry of Defense, said in a statement, that the Algerian army, killed, Tuesday, nine extremists after an operation near the municipality of Azeffoun, in Tizi Ouzou province, east of the country.
The statement stressed that this operation came within the framework of the fight against extremism, and thanks to the good use of the information.
The statement pointed out that this process of combing of the high mountains of Tizi Ouzou province is still ongoing.
The Algerian army managed to retrieve two machine guns, two pistols, a Kalashnikov-type sniper rifle and five hunting rifles as well as quantity of ammunition and various purposes.
