Aoun follows up "Fajr al Joroud" military operation

President Michel Aoun visited earlier Saturday the operation room of the army command where he was received by Lebanese army chief General Joseph Aoun and a host of senior army commanders.
According to Lebanese media, the army chief briefed the president on the progress of 'Fajr al Joroud Operation' that was launched earlier Saturday against Daesh militants near the Syrian border in the outskirts of al Qaa and Ras Baalbek.
“In the name of Lebanon, in the name of kidnapped Lebanese soldiers, in the name of martyrs of the army, I announce the launch of ‘Fajr al Joroud Operation’ in the outskirts of Ras Baalbek and al Qaa (towns),” General Aoun said in a statement earlier.
