Francophone Affairs Minister Yamina bin Qiqi is getting ready to receive French President Francois Hollande in Algeria for the first time since he was elected. The French president will meet Abdelaziz Bouteflika to improve the relationship between the two countries.Yamina bin Qiqi arrived in Algeria on Thursday to prepare the meeting between the two presidents. She said: "I think this meeting will have a positive effect on both countries." Asked about the decline on the French language in Algeria, she said: "It's a real shame. But the Algerian Francophone culture is spreading thanks to books written in Molière's language by Yasmina Khadra, Assia Jabbar and many others." She suggested the creation of an alliance between francophone countries to fight the decline of the French language.
